PLEASE DON'T BLAME ISLAM - PART - I
EDITORIAL NOTE:
TO THOSE UNINFORMED NON-MUSLIMS, WE HUMBLY SAY: PLEASE DON'T BLAME ISLAMTerrorism is a universal phenomenon found in many religions, cultures and nationalities. Terrorism comes in various forms. In this issue we focus on terrorism in terms of abortion and in terms of death threats to President elect President elect Barack H Obama. To an unborn child in the womb of the mother, "medical" terrorism is abortion. In essence it is a loss of an innocent life.

"The old customs practiced by the supposedly "uncivilized" peoples of ancient Rome, Persia, Arabia and Judea are alive and well but under a new guise. In this modern advanced age, instead of killing innocent girls at birth, we are aborting them in the womb and discarding their mutilated corpses like offal. Abortion is murder, and it has never been heard of a woman's "right to choose" being accepted as defense in a homicide case!
Doctors and other abortionists are finding ever more gruesome ways to kill unwanted babies. The latest, which goes by the grotesque name of "partial-birth abortion" involves the partial removal of the foetus from the womb; the head is left inside the mother, and the abortionist (does he or she deserve the title of Doctor?) pierces the back of the skull with a sharp instrument, inserts a catheter, and removes the brains. Then the remains of the murdered child are fully removed. This horrific procedure was devised as a way to get around U.S. laws which state that any child born alive has human rights, and its death would be viewed as murder by the courts.
What sort of sick, twisted mind can dream up something like this? Why should a living child in the womb be deserving of fewer rights than one which is already-born? In Britain, registered abortions have increased almost ten fold since abortion was "legalized" in 1968. In that year, there were nearly 22,000 registered abortions, compared with nearly 180,000 in 1991. Since records began, there has been a steady increase in the numbers of abortions performed each year. Of the 180,000 abortions that took place in 1991, 1lo,ooo were carried out on unmarried women.
Only 1% were done for medical reasons. In 1993, 819,000 women in England and Wales had abortions. The results of population surveys indicate that a third of all conceptions that occurred outside of marriage were terminated by abortion in 1993. Over 3,000 abortions were carried out on girls aged 15 and under (16 is the "age of consent" in Britain); and over 31,000 termination's were carried out on girls aged 19 and under. The figures for USA are even more horrific. Abortion rates have increased since records began and there were over one million 'recorded legal abortions' carried out in 1994.
The Alan Guttmacher Institute, a research organization affiliated with Planned Parenthood (America's leading abortion provider - it is rather like calling a butcher a lamb's confidant) estimate the total number of abortions are typically 10 to 20% higher than the official government statistics. In Canada where the womb is considered to be a safe place for the unborn by the Western standards has nearly half the abortion rate of USA. However, for 1992, this equates to 25% of all pregnancies being terminated by abortion.
In Japan, the 'most advanced' industrial country of the World, where time is money and money is the substance of life, has abortion rates twice that of USA. The nation suffers from over 2 million abortion each year. The most stupendous blood bath of the innocent unborn life has been carried out in the Former Soviet Union. The Soviet Union suffered an incredible 12.8 million abortions in 1965 out of a total population 233 million. At present almost three quarters of all Soviet women's pregnancies end in abortion.
The trivial nature abortion, human life and women's sentiments are held in the Western world was brought to the forefront when a Charity organisation 'Marie Stopes International' opened six day centres across England. They provided a 'walking, walk out' abortion 'that could easily be completed during a working woman's lunchtime break. Their leading abortionist 'Dr' Tim Black horrified the nation when he disdainfully described the method of abortion by Suction as the 'minimal service interception' a 'seamless service without medical drama or moral censure' and a 'quantum leap in service delivery'. Abortion, a traumatic, sorrowful and a grievous moment for every unfortunate woman has been reduced to the language of shopping.' It is worth taking some time to ponder over these figures. Although it is easy to be blinded by such large numbers, we should not forget that each of them is much more than a statistic.
Each number represents the murder of an innocent, helpless baby by supposedly "civilized" human beings. The freedom of choice under the guise of first World civilization has allowed the hideous slaughter of unborn children which has claimed over ONE BILLION lives throughout the world over the past 25 years. In the "barbaric" past, infant girls were killed for economic reasons. Now children are killed to destroy the evidence of adultery, fornication and mischief! These figures account only for those abortions which were registered. As for illegal abortions and those carried out in private clinics, only Allah knows exactly how many babies were killed. Islam is a religion of peace and submission to Allah. What part of this peaceful aspect of Islam don't you understand ? If somebody abuses the Constitution and there are bad outcomes, please don't blame the essence of the Constitution. In the same way, for Muslims the Holy Quran and Hadith are in essence the Constitution meant to regulate various aspects of a Muslim's life including Allah's command that "There is no compulsion in Islam". So, if some misguided group of fanatics abuse the above Islamic Constitution, please don't place Islam or its texts for such abuse. Blame the misguided fanatics.

The election of Barack Obama as President of the United States would, at least at first glance, seem to be a death blow to racist groups like the Ku Klux Klan and the values they espouse. But that is not how Thomas Robb, the organization’s national director, interprets Tuesday’s historic vote, which is about to put a black family in the White House.
Most of the rest of the country is celebrating Mr. Obama’s triumph as the fall of a racial barrier in a nation where segregation was protected by law just 50 years ago. The KKK definitely does not share that view, and is clearly struggling to put the best face on the unthinkable.

First of all, Mr. Robb argues in a posting for his blog that also appears on the KKK’s website that Mr. Obama is “the country’s first mulatto president,” and is not really black. That may be a surprising position coming from a hate group that for more than a century has railed against the dangers of miscegenation, but the KKK appears to regard Mr. Obama as something other than black in both a racial and a cultural sense.
“I know that you have been hearing that Obama would be the first black president,” Mr. Robb writes. “However, you and I both know this is not true. Obama is only half black. Not only is he only half black - he was not raised in a black environment. He was raised by his single mother,” who was white, and abandoned by his African father, something “so common with black men that there are jokes about it.”

Beyond that, the KKK, which has lost both supporters and relevance in recent years, seems to see the election of Mr. Obama as an opportunity to mobilize whites. Adopting a “we told you so” tone, the group’s site argues that his victory “may be the best thing that has happened to us” because it could serve as an effective recruiting tool.
“Every time the television shows an image of Obama it will be a reminder that our people have lost power in this country,” Mr. Robb wrote. “The betrayal will stare them in the face each time they watch the news and see little black children playing in the Rose Garden,” he added.
For whites who supported Mr. Obama, especially young voters, Mr. Robb has nothing but scorn. He accuses them of being blind to what he calls “a race war — a cultural war — being waged against white people,” unlike African-American voters, whom he praises for voting in their own self-interest.

Ugly election incidents show lingering U.S. racism

Two weeks before an election that could install the first black U.S. president, scattered ugly incidents have reflected a deep residue of racism among some segments of white America.
A cardboard likeness of Barack Obama was found strung from fishing wire at a university, the Democratic presidential nominee's face was depicted on mock food stamps, the body of a black bear was left at another university with Obama posters attached to it.
Though the incidents are sporadic and apparently isolated, they stirred up memories of the violent racial past of a country where segregation and lynchings only ended within the last 50 years.
And some feared that Obama could be a target for people who reject him on racial grounds alone. ...
"Many whites feel they are losing their country right before their eyes," said Mark Potok, who directs the Southern Poverty Law Center that monitors hate groups. "What we are seeing at this moment is the beginning of a real backlash."
Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod said the incidents were disappointing but he said there were fewer than some had predicted.
"We've always acknowledged that race is not something that's been eradicated from our politics," said Axelrod. "But we've never felt that it would be an insuperable barrier and I don't think that it will be."
The latest incident occurred on Monday when the body of bear cub was found on the campus of Western Carolina University in North Carolina. Obama campaign signs were placed around the dead animal's head. School officials said it was a prank.

He estimated there were as many as 800 white supremacy or nationalist groups in the United States, with at least 100,000 as "an inner core" of membership and many more on the fringes.
One such group, the League of American Patriots, last month distributed literature about why a "black ruler" would destroy the country.
Michigan State University professor Ronald Hall, writing in his new book "Racism in the 21st Century," said racism remains one of the most pressing U.S. social problems, though it now takes forms that are more subtle than the lynchings and mob violence seen decades ago in some parts of the country.
Some groups tagged with racist acts deny the charge.
In California, a Republican group said it intended no racial overtone when its October newsletter depicted a fake food stamp bearing a likeness of Obama's head on a donkey's body surrounded by fried chicken, watermelon and other images evoking insulting stereotypes about African-Americans.
Some acts have targeted not Obama's black heritage -- his father was Kenyan and his white mother was from Kansas -- but the false notion that he is a Muslim.
A derogatory billboard in West Plains, Mo., went up last month showing a caricature of Obama wearing a turban.
"There are a lot of Republicans and McCain supporters who find it hard to believe that a black guy whose middle name is Hussein is going to be the next president of the United States," said David Bositis, senior research associate at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.
David Wolff, a 52-year-old white Pennsylvania voter who plans to cast his ballot for Obama, said he commonly hears racist comments and thinks such sentiments are deeply rooted across America.
"One thing that could speed up the eradication of racism would be to have a charismatic, inspirational, transformational, generational black president," he said.
